Kariobangi Sharks and Bidco United played out a 1-1 draw in an FKF Premier League early kick-off at Dandora Stadium, as both sides sought to end their recent struggles.
The match started with urgency, and Kariobangi Sharks broke the deadlock in the 12th minute with a brilliant goal from Kenya U20 midfielder Andreas Odhiambo. The Sharks executed a well-rehearsed training ground move, opting for a short corner that involved five quick, precise passes in tikitaka fashion. Odhiambo capped off the dazzling play with a stunning right-footed strike that kissed the underside of the crossbar before nestling in the net, leaving the Bidco defense stunned. It was a moment of brilliance from the youngster, who is set to represent Kenya in the U20 AFCON later this year in Ivory Coast.

Kariobangi Sharks held onto their slim lead heading into halftime, but Bidco United came back stronger in the second half, determined to salvage something from the game. Their persistence paid off in the 80th minute when Jacob Onyango capitalized on a defensive error. A cross into the Sharks’ box was poorly cleared, and Onyango pounced on the loose ball, slotting it home to level the score.
Despite a spirited effort from both sides, neither could find a winner, and the game ended in a stalemate. The result leaves Bidco United rooted at the bottom of the FKF Premier League table with 16 points from 18 matches, having managed only three wins this season. Kariobangi Sharks, on the other hand, now have 20 points from 17 games as they continue to navigate a challenging campaign.
Both teams will need to find consistency in their upcoming fixtures to climb the league standings and secure safety.
